Banjo as drums is nice. Spoingy bitcrushesque distortnoise is righteous.

More old meeting new stuff: happy poppy thing was written in NC, most rest of the stuff I wrote in Alaska a couple summers ago.

That first guitar change with the hammer-on-y bit is pretty awesome.

Keep up the scumpop vibes. Digging it. :huzzah:

Thanks, mayne. :huzzah:

Yeah, definitely gonna be a lot more stuff like this coming out. My stuff tends to fall into the following categories: Punk rawky riffness, chaotic metalgrind, weird industrial pop stuff and then this sort of powerpop/psychedlic inspired shiz.

Mapping out ideas for this here interlude, which is in a song that sounds pretty much nothing like this. The main theme was something I largely wrote out of wanting to have a practice exercise that used all four fretting fingers and had a lot of difficult picking.

Cam, if you released these thingies properly and just like, trimmed off little blatantly demo-y things certain types of people would eat it right up.

Your words are kind, thank you. :isay: I get fairly mixed reviews on it, but a lot of it is just too weird for anyone without an open mind/familiarity with less normal sorts of music. I have gotta say, I am pretty excited about it though so I guess that is all that matters.

And yeah, this stuff is gonna get properly recorded here real soon, I have been mostly watching anime and trying to get better at guitar the past week or more. It's coming along pretty decently.

Keep churning out dem new songs, it is really kind of stupid how many songs I have when I consider the handful that I have never even got around to take a shot at recording even a shitty demo version.

This one makes for a fun challenge to play and sing at the same time.

Still need to mess with the timing of some of my sketch loop action, but this is sounding kinda cool:

It would be really dope if I could manage to play a loop that doesn't lag like a limping horse. :red:

I've just realized it's that Grandaddy song's fault.

Bought an 8 tone xylophone, already found a good use for it.

Vocals are rough, but I enjoy the melodies and rhythms I established. I've no idea what the balls I will do with it from here though.

Fairly laughable demo of a song Landon and I have been working on:

https://soundcloud.com/cameron-heck/ent ... -demo-of-1

HM-2 straight into the board with this guitar is funny, it is like all middy cardboard assault.

Yeah that does sound basically like an HM-2 direct.

Why not mic your fiddyonediddy doing the HM-2? I managed to get some great sounds with that.

Also you could try running the current direct track into like amp sims. Again, the pedal direct into Poulin maps and the cabinet impulses sounded gnarness.

Well, tone talk aside I enjoy the song. And the drum recording is ace.

My 5150 is not at my house, but that is what the final will have l. HM-2 and straight 5150 together like you did. I really enjoy that combo. Drums will be much better soon, as well. I am gonna do a few new things in adjunction with the typical KSM GJ & ribbon anal mic deal.

Some homeboys I met through one of my oldest friends. More or less, a throw some mics up and eyeballing positions sort of thing. Vocals were originally sang live through the PA, and then cut out later for overdubs, so there is a weird room vocal going on in underneath, but it's whateva. We are planning on recording a more (slightly) more professional sounding 4 song EP before I leave for Alaska.

Proud of these tones. Should have used GJ for the drums though, the floor tom suffered for it. Just used a mono overhead and a ribbon out front and kick and snare close mics.
