I wasn't able to get a good toan out of it. I think the boost must be key. It was the big revelation. I ended up going with Legion, which was a bit better, then I ran the SD1 into the interface and things got happening.

I've been moving away from Legion more and more as time goes on. It doesn't sound as awesome to me as some of the other stuff floating around, like X30 and LeCto.
But yes, LeCto REQUIRES a boost for anything, it's too flubby and muddy without one. Even for rock stuff.

Sounds good, like it would sit nicely in a mix. On its own, it almost sounds like a cocked wah sort of mid focus, but with drums and bass, i'll bet that would drop out and it would just sound slick.

Thanks, dude. My Gibson always has that going on... those Dirty Fingers are pretty bright pickups.

Sounds good. A little too much gain for my taste (but I tend to think this of almost every modern-ish rock recording I hear, so I am biased) but it sounds really good. Should sound great paired with a nice bass tone.

Had some super pleasing results with the leCto today. It basically nails that stereotypical recto tone... but only if you run a tubescreamer in front, otherwise it sounds like diarrhea.

That's basically what a Recto does.

ib4 Recto police Oh wait... that's only at Harmony Central... Welll, maybe Snaxie could chime in. I have played a couple Rectos that sounded good on their own. And one that always sounded just weird. They seem to vary in my experience..
