I have agreed to play guitar in this weird little metal project with a couple of buddies.
I'll be playing guitar and bass.

It's gonna be like..
Dissonant, dumbed down mathcore mixed with whatever else I want (possibly my own bastardized black metal) to throw into that mix.
The whole point is going to be to sound as distressed, strung out and fucked up as we possibly can.

Anyways, I was just given drum tracks to right riffs over.
You're about to getting them at the same time as I am.
Mine hasn't even begun downloading yet.
:red:

It's probably gonna suck ass.

Who is drumming? His blast was pretty sickass. :rawk:

It sounds like some crusty grind so far to me.

It's not that bad.

And to be honest, I think his blast is weak as fuck from when I've practiced with him.
Weakest fucking snare hits (ESPECIALLY with the left hand) that I have ever seen.

However, I am used to playing with Ian (GKM's drummer) and Ian is a blasty motherfucker.

I don't know, some of it is like, SUPER off-time.
Like, to the point where there's no groove or method, like he was just fucking around and flailing his arms.
Maybe that's not a bad thing..?
I don't know right now.

Naw man I that his drums were pretty badass. There was a few points where the snare and kick lost alternation but it sounded fine. Perfection isn't always key...

Did you think I meant 'crusty grind' as a putdown? I love crusty grind. :mwahaha:

Ian is like, fucking Mike Smith status snare hits, so I'm not used to that shit..
Very precise.

I guess for what we're going for it doesn't matter though..?
It's just weird, I'm not used to playing such purposefully unpolished shit.

This sums it up. Yeah there were some issues but the overall feel was tres cool.

Total crustpunk action. You can have a lot of fun with it, IMO. His fastest blasts are pretty weak(sound like not great gravitys?) but the overall feel of his playing is something you could rawk with IMO.
