So, the title is pretty much it.

This is me super baked jamming with myself without a metronome (hence the utter slop).
These are excerpts from a song I am writing and none of the transitions and whatnot are final and this is barely scratching the surface in terms of length and riffs.
This was just me experimenting/hearing my riffs in a recorded context.

Sorry about the tone, it's me playing through Gearbox without playing with tones too much and using too much gain in many places.

You should turn up the lead guitars in the first part if you ever make that a full song.

Also, as Devin has pointed out to me all the levels are fucked up and stuff.
I recorded/mixed/rendered it stoned so different tones all over different tracks with different output levels.

It sorta reminds me of a super jolly lil song I recorded a couple years ago, also using Line 6 gearbox :D

It sounds better to my ears than the Pod XT hardware unit, for whatever that's worth.

The guitars are my Frankenstang (the more vintage-y twang sounds are the humbucker in the bridge position, which hardly sounds like a humbucker) and my Schecter Tempest (LP setup with Duncan Designed JB clones) for the metal tones and the neck pickup with the tone rolled off fuzzed to all fuck for the solo thing at the end. Also, this is my new bass you're hearing. :P

Nice. The metal bits do sound overgained, but the mid-gain tones sound nicer than I'm used to from Line 6. :nods: What map models are you using?

The mid-gain and fuzz (Big Muff sim) tones are an AC30 and the metal tones are "boosted" JCM800. I'm thinking about dropping my Dimarzio D-Activator in the bridge of my Schecter and putting something else in the neck, probably some mellow, sweet sounding PAF type deal.

Cam, have you tried boosting an amp sim on the way in with a real hardware pedal? I've found it to work quite nicely when I've tracked with a Pod.

BG Pickups are worth a go, great value for money and they sound excellent. I dunno if you'll benefit as much but I got a whole strat set for about £60 shipped over here (thanks to at the time, the weak dollar :love: ), which would get me one Bareknuckle Pickup. They sound better than the Bareknuckle strat pickups I've tried as well.

Dude BG pickups fucking rule. I have the Hellabucker and a set of custom vintage voiced blade single coils from him and they are definitely my favorite pickups. I highly recommend.....
