Got a new something I am working on. You can even hear a little Flaming Lips homage in the middle ![]() Its A New Jam ... for now ... and can be found here: http://thewhatsoever.com/devin-makes-music/ I also have a new drum beat and synths for my song Strings. I know it has hard to judge how they are going to work considering I haven't tracked the guitars or bass yet thanks to my broken interface, but if you want to listen go ahead! |

I can tell you didn't record this piano in an acoustically treated room. But I suppose that is alright.

Make sure that your mics are in phase with one another, it's gonna be difficult when you've got use atleast 10 to get it to sound any good. |

And run them all through some good mic pres before your interface. Make sure they totally don't colour your sound... this is the key to making the best of your sound! You know you got your money's worth when it sounds pretty much the same as what you put into it. You can probably pick one up for ~1500$... |

Well, it is a 30-pipe organ so really we are looking at upwards of 90 mics. |

Actually I am glad you asked ![]() I started using the Cakewalk Triangle II synth VST. It is free, and as far as I can tell, it is pretty nice. It has a lot of presets that are damn near close to sounds I like, so requires little tweaking on my part, which is good because I am terrible at that. Both the bass and the growly synths are using the Triangle II. The piano is 4Front, and the drums are SD2. Also, my brother is going to use it, so expect a new version in the near future
