Recorded direct?

I like it, sounds a little bit like Guitar Rig or Revalver to me. I am guessing maybe i am getting that vibe from a cab impulse?

Nah, recorded with a 57 on a Texas Heat as per usual.

It's probably more the way I have it dialed in/the way I was playing.

This amp is retardedly abrasive... it's hard to get it bright enough without it being harsh/icepicky. I'll try it in a mix later, record some DIs and get it dialed in as well as I can via reamping before dude comes and gets it.

Make him forget he left the amp at your house.

I like the tone. All that presence would probably be less of a big deal in a full mix.

I had the presence on 2. :poop:

This amp is a fucking nightmare to get to sit in a mix. How the fuck does anyone give it any praise at all? :hypno:

I dunno mang. Maybe to sit in a mix 'nicely'... but whenever I see a band live, if it's anything from the 6505 family of maps it blows a wideass hole for itself in the mix.

That's the problem in a recorded mix... it eats everything alive that's anywhere in between 100hz and 6k.

Here it is in a mix.

I originally posted a separate thread for this, but decided it was a waste of space and deleted it.

You need a DSI Prophet synth to go with it. :wall:
