This song title is fucking amazing. Pretty goddamn sweet grinding, as well. Is John Gallagher in your fucking basement? |

That was actually our bass player... he's moved to vocals now due to some lineup changes. He's all inhales. So now we are without a bass. Also minus one of our guitarists in this recording, he wasn't able to come out that day.The maplifier is a 5150 into my Splawn 4x12, and he has a Digitech Metal Master in front. He's gotten a pretty usable tone though. I won't bitch about his tone anymore... Pretty nasty and pedal sounding, but it seems to have the right frequencies to cut. |

All the vocals were pretty meh except the one section where it sounds like Gallagher snagged the mic. |

What is the recording setup? |

I put an AT2020 above my kick drum, as in the 'one mic drum recording' thing. Hence the loud ride cymbal. There's also a room mic, the other AT2020, it's panned a little to the left I think. SM57 on the guitar amp, I doubled its track with a short delay and panned them. Lastly I took the direct out from the PA to get those vocals... |
