Tried my hand at slow sludgey stuff... popped all the instruments and mix off in a bit of a hurry, I don't have as much time as I used to.

Drums were Glynn Johns'd, a pair of AT2020s, Avantone Mondo kick mic, Shure SM57 with a bit more distance than usual from the snare. Guitars were the virtual 5150 from Nick Crow, bass was direct in from my little Tech 21 practice map...

I am really enjoying the crack you have grown out of your snare.

You should crank the bejeezus out of the bass guitar and bring the guitars up to fill in the fuzz. I feel like this would sound cool all blown out and ugly. :huzzah:

This sounds most brutal, I approve :huzzah:

Indeed, the tight crack sound seems to be that which this particular snare excels most at.

I've had some more ideas for the song though, so I might redo the track sometime... :plot:

I redid it with some changes to the song. Should still be the original link...

I had the opportunity to do crank up my Quick Rod in doing so... I think I might have used far too much distortion. :mexican:

Same Glynn Johns deal except the kick is triggered...
