Post Old-ass Clips: Shiva, TSL, JMP, Mark IV.
Hunting through my archives I found the following survivors from some years ago now. Girlygoth Pseudometal Demo Stuff.

Shiva and TSL; full stacks (75s + V30s paired up in Marshall cabs, cranked.) There's some flangy shit in the back with a Pod Pro (original) which is not me. I did not mix this:

Mark IV A + V30s: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13184331/Blood%20For%20Free.mp3

'76 JMP 2204, SD-1 + V30s. Solo is the Mark if I'm remembering right. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13184331/Over.mp3

That's pretty fuckin' awesome stuff, man! I hear In Flames all over these songs. But like, influenced by, not ripping off. Or, not ripping off In Flames and At The Gates at the same time.

The tones are good, too. I mean, like on par with everything else in the mix. They sound like great tones mic'ed poorly.

 That's 'cause they were. These are all pretty old now. And the In Flames thing is totally valid; I was totally into them in the late '90s-early '00s and it stuck with me for a while. It sorta got re-purposed into a different context. I figured they'd be amusing to post- I realized there's more stuff kicking around I forgot I had.

I'm shocked actually how clear the bass is, mostly. Like, they sound like what they are, but you can hear what's going on.

Hrmm... The most recent of them would have been, like, 2004? So a good while ago now. 57 --> Mackie in the basement-level stuff, really. The first one we paid to record but didn't have the money to really mix, so we settled for what we could bang out as fast as we could. The other two I did on my lonesome with, well, see above. I can't find the versions with vocals though. Nothing special going on there; straight into PTLE. I have the sneaking suspicion of it being very loud.

It's funny, my playing certainly hasn't gotten any better in the past decade. It's probably gotten worse. I wish I still had that gear.
