I had planned on doing something useful this evening. I singularly failed at that. I played with synths and drum samplers instead.

Real kicky blast. Its got a funky beat and you can bug out to it.

It reminds me of back when folks like Orbital were doing soundtracks for racing videogames.

I.e. : Awesome.

Yep definitely getting the older racing game soundtrack here too.

List the synths for me please. I must know what makes these luscious noises.

Such questions need answering.

This song made me  in the front desk of the hotel. Saved for later listening.

 I can see that. Or, more properly, hear that. Where's a gamer emoticon when you need one?

Synths:

Native Instruments Kontakt sampler
Native Instruments Kore
Novation XIO* --> Soundtoys Echoboy for the weird chorus/spatializer thing after the break, Soundtoys Crystallizer granular synth mangler thing
Toontrack Electronic EZX

And I used Amp Designer in Logic for the distortion on the bass; I ran it into a model of an old tweed combo in parallel.

*this is a hardware synth. There's the Novation... I think it's the V-Station is the software version.
