More of us on our minimalist kick.

Tele --> inyourface --> Amp Designer in Logic. Not bad for a stock plugin, methinks. :idk: Right is a Tweed Bassman/4x10/87 (bridge pickup) and left is a treble booster --> AC30/2x12/R121 (neck pickup).

'Verb on the guitars is modeled spring 'verb on the "amps", and they're both feeding Space Designer with a Bricasti studio room impulse on an aux. Stock tape delay in Logic for, well, delay.

Bass is plain old Ampeg SVX. Synths are some string section samples and Absynth Twilights. Drums are SD2 and Electronic EZX.

You should try out the Mac versions of some of the LePou/Poulin plugins. LeXTaC and LeCTo are particularly awesome. I don't know if Onqel ever got his TSE plugins onto Mac or not, I know he was working on them?

I didn't know there were Mac versions. I'll investigate those. :nods: The XTC one has me especially intrigued, 'cause I'd been using the Ecstasy model on the Pod XT for my gainier stuff up until a couple nights ago.

That is a surprisingly realistic spring reverb simulation. The actual dirt sounds are pretty good, but they do sound ampsim-ish. There's a funkiness in the 1k range that I dislike greatly. But, a POD or POD Farm wouldn't get anywhere near tones that nice.

Thanks, guys! The dirt sounds are actually treble-booster sim-ish, which might explain the 1k thing. Makes me wonder if I tried a different dirt flavor what the result would be.

The arpeggiated riff is a little odd in that Chris is playing in groups of four and I'm playing in groups of three. Different chord voicings too, though we're really just moving around D minor and F minor. There's not much going on save for the layering of things- though the rhythm threw me originally as it almost sounds like it's not in 4.
