Thanks to Mr. Curtis for pointing out there's Mac versions of these now.

Solo is Tele/neck --> LeXTaC Red channel --> RedWire impulse (the free one off their site) of a Marshall cab with Greenbacks, with an AKG 414 at the edge of the dustcap and and inch back.

Chords are Tele/Bridge. Left hand side is LeXTaC Blue channel/same impules, right is Amp Designer/Dual Rec/R121 in roughly the same virtual position.

I'm only just starting to play around with this stuff, but it sounds better than a Pod to me. :idk:

Sounds nice... You can tell the difference between LeXTaC and Amp Designer pretty readily.

The whole "amp sims that don't suck" thing has me seriously considering reamping for a large portion of my solo stuff (save for when I need feedback as part of the sound).

I never got on with reamping in the past- I'd split the signal to the Pod XT and a DI track, and besides using up twice as many tracks, there was something off about it. For bass it was fine, as I'd usually take a DI when tracking anyhow, even if I didn't use it in the end for anything but reamping. This, I'm more comfortable with.

Lead tone is definitely more passable than the rhythm for this one... wasn't fully feeling the rhythm tone.
