Steven Slate Drums, 4front bass + Helian 1st bass vst, sm57 on (I think) the V30L. Its long and I guess rather boring, but ever minutes or so I'm using either doing something different with the rhythm guitars or some different lead guitar sound.

I also faked a room mic by sending everything to one track with only ReaVerb and compressed to shit.

Actually, it sounds quite good to me. Avoiding the cymbals in the fauxdrums actually, helps a huge amount to mask their fauxness.

And the bass sound is also exactly of the type that you can get away with for MIDI, and still have it sound plausible as a realboomstick.

Altogether it is a quite solid sounding thing, IMO. :huzzah:

I like the groove of this. :nods:

The bass sounds synthy on its own but with the guitars going you don't hear the attack of the thing at all.

And Chris has a totally valid point about the cymbals or lack thereof. I haven't heard anything yet that accurately fakes the way a crash responds especially if you hit the thing more than once in succession.

Extra points for using the wah on the rhythm part.

In my opinion, this is the more appropriate place to use the effect.. :monocle:

Sounds real good, Tony. :huzzah:

Thanks guys! The lack of crashes is something I'll keep in mind for when I actually program drums.

The wah is a normal Crybaby that I changed a few values according to what Google recommended me to change a LONG time ago. I used it on the lead guitar somewhere in the second half, towards the 7:30 mark I think.

Do you have a link to the Crybaby mods you wound up using? sounds good. I have an old GCB-95 that i don't think i have used since the late nineties, that i should do something with probably. :red:

Had to open it up to remember what I did lol. I changed the 1k5, 33k and the 0.01uf cap to 2k2, 47k and 2.2uf respectively as recommended here:

I also adjusted the sweep knob just right so it wahs right where I want it to.
