Post I wrote a new song
Wrote a new song today. Its just the scratch track so nothing is final. I don't have any lyrics so a verse might be shorter, the bridge might be longer. Who knows what happens :idk: Only the piano has some reverb and a little eq, and I put in a fake room mic. I think the kick and guitars sound nice.

So what do you guys think? :dukes:

I think maybe you could turn the drums down a little, and turn the bass up a fair bunch.

It is a good solid structure. What are your plans for it? Vocals?

Without vocals it maybe clocks a little long just shy of six minutes, but it isn't egregious with it or anything.

Really, my only proper critical thought about, it is that the bass should be louder. :huzzah:

Definitely vocals. Absolutely nothing is final lol. My hand started to cramp on the rhythm guitar, you can hear it stop at different times . It was the first time I used the Timmy as a boost (just on the two solos). Results =    I haven't touched the bass guitar to try to hid its sub-par attack (reason its mix a little low) and I might tweak the midi in a few places to make it more interesting (or wait till I sell the GE-7 and buy a bass). I like the snare, but I'm not sold on it yet and I haven't programed a single fill for the drums yet (I haven't even loaded toms on the VST yet  )

Overall, a lot of work to do. I'm excited :dildo:

I like the clean tremolo guitar. Needs to come up, methinks. Whatever the bass might be lacking in attack, it certainly has plenty of low end.

I like the guitar tone! The kick and guitars do sound nice. :nods:

Have you thought of re-introducing some piano later on in the song during the mellower bits?

The bass is just a stock 4front bass VST. It's definitely the best free bass vst I have found, big bass sound and decent attack (for being free). I'll take note to raise up the trem guitar for the final version. I was thinking about put in the piano in the soft parts, but without an actual keyboard it seems like it's going take a long time to get everything right... Challenge accepted  :dukes:

Today though, it's all about drum fills :noir:
