:krampus:

Did the whole thing this afternoon.

Bass is J-bass/RNLA/Sansamp --> Ampeg SVX, blended the two about 70/30 SVX. Guitars are Tele --> Poulin LeXTaC --> Redwire impulse of an Uberkab (U47 on a V30 2" back) with my fave-o-rite guitar 'verb, Bricasti Studio B Close impulse. Drums are NI Kontakt Studio Drummer. Main synth is a patch I tweaked on my friend's Alesis QSR rack and then sampled. Choir thing is Absynth. Drums in the bridge/breakdown are Kontakt again; bass synth there is Minimoog samples.

Brings to my mind the earlier days when Voltaire was writing such things. A combination of joy and propulsion, without any flavors of meanness.

Could also work well as the soundtrack to the video game: Satanic Mechanic.

In which the player is tasked with repairing a never-ending chain of broken automobiles with a variety of incantations and sacrifices.

The visual aesthetic would be that of a game like Paperboy. Or, ooh, even better, of one of those games where you build cupcakes or something:

Yes, it would be a children's game! Teaching the children about how to run their own businesses. And how to perform spells and bloodlettings.

I'm not sure what'll become of the song- it is a mite bit on the perky side- but the game concept is totally solid; really worth pursuing.
