This is a super rough idea that I wouldn't have posted if I hadn't gotten what I think is a decent Doomy tone. So yeah it goes something like this: https://soundcloud.com/antonio-l-rosari ... doomy-idea |

Drums are a bit too loud, methinks. In my view, a doomy guitar should really almost be drowning out everything else but the bass guitar, which should also be pretty loud. Make a less drum-focused mix of it, and then it will be easier to see how/if it works, IMO. I like the sound of the acoustic though. A nice darker flavor type. |

The acoustic sounds almost like a nylon string? Agreed with Chris on bringing the drums down. They're a bit dry/forward with loud hats and cymbals for the style. The tone sounds like it should work though. What amp is that? |

Fur shar fur shar... It's an old cheap ass nylon that my dad has had forever. It sounds muddy as fuck in the room but tracks well enough. Signal chain is the Strat into a cleanish Timmy with full bass boosting my Hot Cat. I'll see what I can do about those drums

Agreed on jacking up the electrified instruments volume. |
