Friend of mine. They are on a Priest tribute CD and this is going to be their submission. I have already given my critique and he made a few changes.

The guitars seem a little dark/muted compared to how bright the rest of it is. I think they could probably stand to come up a bit, but that might just be the tone. The bass has a lot of top end, but it comes across to me more as clicky than clear in re: its relation to the attack of the kick drum. I'd mess with the kick/bass relationship a bit as well to clear them up a bit more- everything's present, but it could be a little clearer. Just a matter of changing EQ points, really.

As a whole, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It could be dressed up a bit to make it shinier.

Thing is kinda rad, and I couldn't say anything worth mentioning that Eric didn't say (just better :red:) other than, ya know: Shit is rad.

I wasn't sure about the vocal treatment until he got to the proper upper register thrashvoice, before that it struck me as slightly unbalanced in the mix maybe too loud or somethng? For reals though, once it hits around 1:20, the mix really comes together IMO.

I actually like the bass sound myself, as a bright and crunchy sort of thing. To me, that is a sound that works nicely with the style.

Overall i do dig it, especially though, once the proper high register vocal kicks in. :huzzah:
