Re: I has G-flex 2x12. Clip include. Great minds think alike.  It is the best of all possible spots. Sometimes I'll angle the mic 45ยบ toward the cone, sometimes I won't. An inch or two off the grill. That's for a single mic setup. Multiple mics... it varies.

Re: I has G-flex 2x12. Clip include. That's where I had it, actually. It's about 3" away from the grille. Same place I mic my Randall. It sounds a good bit more middy in the room. Equally bassy, though. This cab has serious balls.
