I'll get it dialed in eventually. The Genz Benz speakers' sweet spots are hard to find for some reason. |

I favour where the dustcap meets the cone...  I liked the tone in that clip just fine. Fizz is a lot less noticeable in the rest of the mix... and also can be attenuated with some lo pass... |

Great minds think alike.  It is the best of all possible spots. Sometimes I'll angle the mic 45ยบ toward the cone, sometimes I won't. An inch or two off the grill. That's for a single mic setup. Multiple mics... it varies. |

That's where I had it, actually. It's about 3" away from the grille. Same place I mic my Randall. It sounds a good bit more middy in the room. Equally bassy, though. This cab has serious balls. |
