I was bored. I came up with this, because I found some interesting blips and bloops. I originally expected to do something more aggressive with the opening loop I'd created. Instead, it became something mellow and downtempo.

That IS a nice bleep. Sounds like a manhattan research project sample or something.

Good to hear a bit of snaxodisco again. :huzzah:

I believe the blip and the bloop are samples of a circuit-bent 303. And for some reason I've been liking the kicks, hats and snares from whumpy old sampling drum machines. Nothing so nice as a LinnDrum or Oberheim, of course. They take filthing up well.

I had a couple new softsynths to play around with as well and felt the need to make some noises. I'm particularly fond of the bass sound and the gated vocoder-thing.

For whatever reason, I like the "real" snare when it comes in- I wish I could get something to ring like that on a rock track and be heard so clearly. I suppose this mix is open enough that's not a problem.

Fun with samples and vocoders: Three Honkies

Basically, some random shit I had laying around. And some synthesizers. My original intent was to sample a bunch of wholly inappropriate stuff from Falling Down, but my software for that sort of thing isn't playing nice. So this happened instead. Inappropriate African guy is inappropriate on this track.
