J-bass, EMGs. Signal was split between a straight DI into the 'puter and the Sansamp hardware.

First up, Sansamp BDDI. Level 9:00, blend full (no DI blended, just Sansamp). Bass and treble 12:00, presence 12:30, drive 12:00.

Next, TSE BOD, same settings, save for level, which had to be turned way up to match. Input sensitivity full up, high quality.

Third, Sansamp hardware again, same clip as before.

Fourth, TSE BOD, set to match the hardware as close as possible sonically. Which wound up being: level 12:30, blend full, bass full, treble 12:30, presence full, drive 4:30. Not close at all setting-wise, but starting to sound pretty damn similar. How it sits in a track, I'm not sure. We'll see.

Anyhoo, the plugin is free for Windows and OSX, so if you want it, grab it from the developer here.

Yarr. I been using it. It does a fine job. My best bass tone ever was the on Serene Molestation's full length. It helped that Rory had a nice ass Ibby Soundgear.
