How are you liking it, anyways?
Is it kind of a different flavor for you or do you just manage to dial it in like a 5150 like with all the others?

Totally different flavor. The XXX has a grainy character similar to the 5150, but the EQ controls respond in such a way as to prevent it from getting any tone a 5150 can. The mid control is at a totally different frequency and behaves differently, the amp is generally more bass heavy than the 5150, and the highs are basically fizz unless you're at really high volumes where the speakers and power section compress that fizz out of there. It's not a bedroom amp. That said, it's an awesome amp and it'll be in my arsenal for quite some time. |

I can definitely hear what you mean. One of my most favorite metal productions of all time includes solely XXX tone. Check this shit out, you almost got a similar tone going on. Same basic tight, but big low end and gain thing going on. |

That is some delicious production. I can see what you mean about the tone. I believe if I didn't boost mine and turned the volume down to like 3 I could easily nail that tone. |

Yeah, the production is absolutely fucking crushing. IMO, it's kind of like a modern version of Suffocation's Pierced From Within. Fucking awesome.  Yeah, you seem to be getting something pretty awesome with this amp. Have you recorded it in stereo with the 5150? I would be VERY interested in hearing that. |

I love you. And this does indeed sound mean as fuck! Chuuuunkay. Would sound great in a mix, methinks. I would like to hear this with bass and drums and all that. Maybe in a drumjam someday.
