Picked up an 11R. HAven't had a chance to sit and really fuck with it but I was able to dial in a mesa-ish tone and record this in quick fashion for my band. It's a song we have, but are reworking it a bit. Kids call us ezcore now. https://soundcloud.com/dtcurrie/redturtle20 I think I am really gonna dig the 11R once I have a chance to actually dig into it. The song is getting trimmed down a bunch, 5-minute songs in pop punk are pretty unheard of .... |

A bit bright soloed, i would be curious to hear how it sat in a mix; i think maybe still a little too bright, but then again the fizz might also disappear with the introduction of other instruments... How much control does the 11R give you over the flizzles and presence/high end sorts of sonic elements? |

Pretty good. The cab and mic sims basically act as a post-eq to handle that. I went fizzy cause my Mesa is well ... fizzy. I run with my treble around noon and my presence at like 3:00, super bright by itself but cuts through the mix like a champ. But if I hadn't used an off-axis 57 mic sim it would have been a little less bright. I haven't had a chance to really dig into it, but the basic controls give you enough to dial in just about whatever flavor of sound you are looking for. |

Not bad. Modelling has come so far these days... and I honestly think Line6 has been left behind. They have this trademark digital gunk to their gain sounds. |
