Guitars are my 5150 miced with a 57 and Audio Technica AT2050, also layered in is my HM-2 clone going direct to some VST emulation shite.
Left side 5150 is Digitech Metal Master into clean-ish rhythm channel. Right is Maxon OD9 into lead channel. Though in Rock Lobster both rhythm guitars are the Metal Master tone while the melodic touches are the OD9 one.
The B52s thing was a real joy to do. Kind of a dream come true that the band is conceptually retarded enough for that idea to fly.
They drew the line at a Wesley Willis cover, for which I also recorded a drum track.
