After three EPs we've decided it's time to go all teh way.

Unmastered... still need to record drums for four more songs. We're recording the instruments backwards, hehe.

Tone rotten enough for you? It's a Boss MT-2 into a 5150. The fact that an Avantone tom mic is paired with the SM57 is a big part of the Swedish sounding honk.

That sounds so fucking awesome. The guitars especially are extra fantastic.

Big reverby drums with huge disgusting guitars makes me think of Carcass in the best way possible, especially in the first half or so of the song.

Guitars are too thick to be honky, but I get what yer getting at. Midrange city. This sounds cool as hell. :rawk:

What's the drum and bass setup, if you don't mind me asking?

Drums... AKG D112 inside the kick right at the beater. 30% of the sound is a trigger as well. Snare is an i5 on top and SM57 beneath, and the i5 is going through a DBX you sold me! Toms are Avantone ATOM on a 12" and 14". Our drummer doesn't do floor toms except for like a coffee table, so there aren't any! My AT2020 overheads, and AT2050 room mic set to cardioid pointed at an opposite wall.

Hm... bass is a DI into that VST sim of a Tech21 Sansamp, as well as a Digitech Death Metal > Boss Bass EQ with ridiculous setting for the dirt. However we've grown to hate the bass sound on there, understandably I guess, so we redid all the bass the same way but the dirt is just a Behringer HM-2 clone. That sounds gnar and I will post how that sounds sometime soon!

Man, it feels good to see this through to the end. I'm really happy with the label we went with as well - they are certainly fulfilling their duties.

Sounds fuckin' excellent, Geofferz. Those guitars are fantastically pissed.
