http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=9501517 Just me playing along to one of the band's newer songs. A little sloppy at the start... but come on, it was 5/4. There's more bomb blasts instead of the usual alternating type that I tend to prefer.Dig the recently acquired Sabian AA Rock Ride with it's clangy ass bell, and that trashy ass Wuhan 18" china. Cool?

Bromosexual... Cam, you are too good at that. And tankye! I am engorged and distended with anticipation for us recording the drums for the demo. I messaged the guy who runs to place and he says it will be weeks still until there is an opening for us. I have been practicing a lot lately, most of which seems to show in the double bass, and dammit, I'm gonna make this one count.

I can tell you've tightened up a lot, and your blasts are more blasty. I am excited for this recording musickz. |

Your dynamics- or lack thereof, given the context- are quite good. Your doublebassing is solid. Melikes. |

If only I could drum half as decently as Geoff... Then I would be set. I miss my drumkit.

Indeed... I've come to realize that the key to good metal drumming is not crazy fills or maximum speed, but merely hitting hard and on time. The hard is getting there... the on time, a work in progress. |

If more metal drummers realized this, more metal would have better drummers. Crazy fills and maximum speed don't mean a damn thing when your playing sounds like a giant sack of wank. Clobbering the kick and snare on time is wot 'sall about.
