Finally got Reaper to work without crashing long enough to get it rendered.

I didn't spend too much time on the mixing, mainly because 2 tracks + FX = death from my PC right now. But, I think it is enough to illustrate why I have a fanboi crush on this tuning.

That is a very pretty sort of sound, indeed. :isay:

I just need to get that 2nd bottom D to stay in tune. It was off for the rhythm track, but I didn't notice til I mixed it. Alas, working with reaper on this PC is a bitch and half, so it is what it is. At least this is good incentive to get a functional computer.

I don't know, it didn't strike me as any more out of tune than any recorded Sonic Youth song... :red:

Some kinds of tunings sound better to me slightly out, anyway. :idk:

It did help separate the two guitars in the mix. Sadly, this is probably one of my better mixes too.

I realized I don't have a good Fuzz VST, so I went with Poulin stuff (Hybrit for Rhythm Solo-C for lead) all set to rather highish gain settings.

Wow.
That tuning opens up some really beautiful chord voicings.

Wow, the dynamic style of picking youre doing on those chords really opens up the centrifugal force of how the mic picks up the sound radiating into the interface console.

That is simply ridiculous.

There was no mic involved.
