http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=9673854 Bang. No one bit for the bass track, so I just programmed it. I also left out the solo, because I don't really do noise solos very well. But yes... I thought I'd get a little more use out of the drum mics before I give them back, so I did the quick Repulsion track today. For guitars I chose to just work with VSTs... I ended up settling on LeGion. I wasn't able to get the tone to work until I put my Boss SD-1 in front of the interface. So Guitar > SD-1 > LeGion > Impulses... Any suggestions are welcome... ![]() ASTROTURF'D!

Impressive. On a side note, my drummer loves and praises his Sabian B8s. Of course, he has a random old school Zildijan that was made out of Turkeys or some shit and a Remo Weatherking snare head that is totally fucked. |

Sounds purty sweet. I wish the snare had just a tiny bit more attack to it in the blasts, but it sounds great on the slower sections. Very classy oldschool sound there. The kicks could also, IMO, be a bit louder, but they also work as they are, again in a pleasant oldschool metal type fashion. All in all, quite gnerly.

I don't quite love mine but I give them more respect than most drummers would. That B8 crash just won't crack. I wail on it. It's the one I do the cymbal chokes on at the start of the song. The hi hats... not going to be replaced any time soon. B8 is probably the best value in starter cymbals.
Yarrg, total old school drum production. Part of me wants to add some fancystuff but nah, I think I'll stay true. Part of this after all was to satisfy my raw drum production yearnings after my band chose to go not-so-raw with the drums on our demo. |

Yeah, some of those B8s sounds pretty great. I actually had to borrow a B8 ride and crash for when i did a surfrock project, and was pretty happy with how they worked out. My AAX Metals were just all wrong for that one.

Updated the mix a little, such as slightly louder kick. But most importantly now there is a solo by Meik.
