We finally did the vocals today. So it's all done, and I'm waiting for mah money. :D

Any input/advice for how it's currently sounding? I am still having to edit the guitars/bass to make them tighter. I do that... :red:

I was really surprised by the low growler. He sounds a lot like one of my favourite vocalists. :D

no but send them a sample of the mix, and if they like it, have them pay you. If they dont like it, then they can fuck off. Too many people have had their full mix sent to them without them paying in the end. Dont want that happening to my wife ill shoot a mother fucker

I need to listen to this on something other than my laptop speakers. What did you use for the guitars? They sound nice and defined. Also, the vocals seem to sit well. Is that audible bass guitar I hear? Aw yeah.

Dammit, need to listen on something real.

Guitars were SM57 and i5 on a Genz Benz cab with MT2 boosted Laney on the left... just sm57 on Splawn QR and cab on the right.

Audible bass, yes, but I think it might get turned down due to all the poo it is putting in the mix. Bassist is one of those guys who makes up really ambitious stuff for himself to play but can't quite pull it off without some slop. We'll see after I edit the piss out of it I guess...

Listening back on nice headphones, I think the bass could be made to sit in the track better with some judicious EQ; possibly multiband comp if you chose to go that route. It has nice big lows and it's plenty audible, but it's murky. There's a lot of woof to it. Tighten it up and I'm betting it'll be right nice. Of course it might just need to be edited to piss, as you mentioned.
