TSE808 -> TSEX30 > LeCab2 with all 6 impulse spots filled up with Catharsis, Guitarhack, Sperimental, and Redwire impulses.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8290798/liquid% ... uitars.mp3 < guitars only.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8290798/liquid% ... %202.0.mp3 < full mix with Trilogy bass and SD2.0

Nowhere near my best mix, but it is certainly my best tone thus far.

Danke.

I've been jamming through it with real amps via Reaper for a while, and I don't think I can manage to mic them well enough to get the sheer amount of evil crunchiness that Lecab2 is providing... even my buddy's Valveking sounds rediculous through this VST.

Here's a clip of the JSX through it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8290798/lecab2%20improv.mp3

I'm yet to make this work. I ran the Quick Rod into the computer's interface, > impulses and the result was extremely thin. I think I need some sort of impulse to simulate the power map also.

Anyway your clips sounds titties.

You need to literally fill it up with impulses... just one will sound kind of thin.

That sounds pretty badass dude :rawk:

I'm gonna give Lecab 2 a try. I'm still yet to get what I consider a usable tone out of impulses; I dunno wtf I'm doing wrong :(

Are you dialing your amp in via the cabinet you're running it through or via your monitoring setup?

I will sometimes record 3 or 4 half takes just to tweak the tone for the specific riff/mix. I have my cab in a different room and generally play through my monitors, unless I'm feeling loud (my heads are in the same room as my monitors, for ease of tweaking).

If it sounds like it needs a boost somewhere, boost it and adjust your overall level accordingly. The sound coming out of the guitar cabinet WILL lie to you... the mic isn't picking up anything even remotely similar. Same goes for the impulses. :)

IM perfectly content with using these plugins with my od9 boosting into the interface.

lecab 2 sounds amazing with my mark iii. i find that it sounds cool to do one side with impulses and the other side miked with a 57.

I monitor with cheap headphones so that's a big part of the problem :poop:

My ISO cab is making it easier though; I used it the other day as sort of a fake dummy load for my Prosonic and sent the fx output to my interface and finally got a direct tone I don't compltely hate for the first time ever.....check it out if you get a chance:

How do you get it sounding this good? When I tried boosted Lecto + Lecab 2it just sounded shit and fake. Which impulses are you using and where are you sticking them in Lecab, just anywhere?

This is the preset I made after a little bit of fuckery with it... used it on the clips in this thread, actually.

I'm still just using the old LeCab. My last recording, both guitars were just the S Pres High impulse.
