This is an older one that i decided to go back to and play with the mix some.

It sounded *really* weird before.

I fixed a bunch, but it still sounds pretty weird to me. WTF is it?

First thing that occurred to me was the guitar tone... it is very midrangey in a sort of cocked-wah way.

I'm at the end of the song now, the section with vocals, and the bass guitar's sub frequencies are sounding a bit out of bounds...

This is the song where I counted the time signature, isn't it?

Guitars. They need the mids scooped to shit from where they are now.

You can't really hear anything else because of it.

:red: DERP. I put the wrong file up. That one had an EQ on an EQ on an EQ that i forgot to bypass... :red:

Try this one: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=9961760

It should be better.

Still probably the guitars though i guess. :red:

Yes, i think this was a counting one.

And the bass at the end is one of the things i left in from the old version. Back then i thought it would be a good idea to have the automation pushing the bass git's volume higher and higher into its limiter progressively through that last section. Why? I don't know. It is probably stupid and probably shouldn't be there. :red:

Actually, this was from back a few months when i thought it was a good idea to close mic my washing machine as well. :red: The drum tracks have two 'room mics', one on the front of the washer, one on the side. I am pretty sure that they were causing some fucked up phase issues with the original mix, so they are muted here.

Ah yes, I recall you doing the washing machine micing.

This mix sounds pretty good to me. :idk: Maybe the lone clean guitar going into the second section needs a little something. And I still feel the bass guitar's low frequencies are a bit out of control at that section...
