It's not supposed to be a word. Only the idea of a word, maybe, thing. Also, credits, because I dumped 'em off my hard drive to send to my drummer for his promowhatnot: Plus, the poster has Jebus Cripes on it. How could it possibly be bad? |

Very carefully. Alternately, with a pointy stick. Seriously, it's just Photoshop and InDesign, mostly. I like the Alien Skin plugins for Photoshop. Most of it is just layering things up and brutalizing them. The source material can come from anywhere; it's basically collage. There's a bunch of stuff that's wound up in these that I've shot with my phone because I thought it looked neat. It's knowing what I want aesthetically for a particular design- and the dilapidated distressed industrial thing gives me plenty of leeway in what I can throw in there and make look half-decent. In terms of actual chops, creating good-quality vector images in Illustrator is, I think, way harder, as this stuff's pretty abstract. You do have to have an eye for it lest it turn into a complete mess pretty quick. But it's mostly a matter of knowing your way around Photoshop and having a hateful noise in your head. |

They are for promo singles- college radio and club DJs; there's one for Graphite as well- though I suppose I will reuse the lyrics pages for the EP. So yes. In fact, there are some extant. |
