Tweaked and re-purposed from the previous thread, as that poster wound up being for a show we aren't doing now. This one looks better anyway:

Totally new. Still waiting to hear back re: ticket information, door time, age restrictions, as you will note from the bottom right hand text:

You are, IMO, losing too much of the white text on the fairst one, due to the bright spots in the background. And also due to the similarity between Bile's logo and the water sparkley reflection action.

Udder than that, as usual, they look with a swellness.

Also, that is my preferred spelling of the word "purpose" and all of its variants. :isay:

Lastly. People are dumb. So you might want to add a little dot to the center of the "8" in "28" on the second one, lest dumb people show up on the 20th.

Noted. I'm actually tweaking another version of Bile's logo at the moment to stick on there, as I caught that myself. I'll tweak the background a bit as well.

And also noted re: the 28th. I do like that font, but some additions may be necessary for legibility... porpoises. :nods:

...And thank you sir! :isay:

Aye, just for general legibility porpoises, i tend to try not to use much brighter than something like 50% grey behind white text. Depending on how you go about it, it is a flexible rule, but usually, works out okay. Also, when printed out you never know just how much brighter that background image is going to lean. I know you have a bit more control over that bit of the process, but even still. :idk:

I have to tweak the background images lighter, invariably, off the Konica. Though I haven't done posters on the Xerox press yet, and if there's any kicking about I'mma use 12 pt Kromekote cover for Maximum Gloss (and sturdiness!). So we'll see how that goes. I generally Sendspace the things to myself; InDesign files complete with fonts and links, do a proof, tweak, do a proof... so I can see what they look like "for real". I have Maxxximum Control. :monocle:

krz would love this poastre. :nods: Of course he would like Bile bigger, but it IS your poastre after all.

He mentioned he would love for me to come up to the show with him and the band, and I might even be able to swing the day off, but it looks like I may be recording the 4th. I will have a better idea mid-week. You never know. We may be partying like it's 1861 :nods:

Alas, the tragedy.

I still have a poster for you though. It will arrive with your attenubator, which has served me well. I liked having it for the smaller venue on Saturday.

Sunday I got a big stage so I turned up. Way way up. :D Poor Mr. Chris stuck behind the synths with my AC30 blasting him was not necessarily so pleased by this, but for the first time ever with this band I was able to hear myself onstage throughout the whole show. This has never happened before.

Also: The Lost Patrol were awesome as hell, we may be hooking up with them again in the spring, and next time they're in Buffalo, Mollie expressed interest in partying with me and Ms. D. :huzzah: She is awesome. I like her muchly.

Don't feel the rush to send the attenuator back if you are using it. I used my 6100 Saturnight and on the half power setting and it haz teh MV I had no trouble containing it's awesomeness. So if you are still using it you may hold on to it for a bit.

ALSO _ ye si Used my 6100 again Satannight. OH THE FUCKING townes!!!!!!!

I've discovered the AC30 is best opened up unless it's a really tiny room. It does make a difference at rehearsals, but I can get by without it as well. I'm just tweaking the volumes at that point because below 9:00 is, like, full off and above 9:00 hates you and everything you're about. Seriously, volume on a NMV AC30 might as well be a 3- or 5- position stepped pot. Like, OFF - QUIET- KILL YOURSELF.

I loved that description. I still want to get a AC15, but seems like I'm just going up in wattage again, using the 6100 this weekend, and the other band definitely wants me to use the 6100 or the DSL. The 6100 haz the real nice clean channel, so it's a go to amp for that. Best Marshall clean toanz.

You know i was thinking about this, even with the 15w. I really only use the volume at three spots, 1. just barely loud enough to be able to fix with pedals, 2. halfway(loud), and 3. full up(LOUD). I could totally use a three way switch to go between hardwired resistors. Don't know how that would really work in practice(given the variation in wall voltages and how greatly it affects map operation - would probably throw the lowest setting off) but it would be interesting to experiment wif, i think.

I'd really like to hear the results of that if you ever get around to trying it.
