This wav file should make it real easy. Just siiing aloooong. If you wish to double track your voice, please do! And when you're done send the isolated tracks my way. :D
If you want a click set yours to 115.4 bpm. That seems random but it is what synced with the original song. :eekass:

No its not too random. For stuff like this, I usually like it set at around 115.8.... but 115.4 should be fine.

Uh YES, since everyone who said they would hasn't done fuck.

Listen to that. It's just me. It's so naked, and BAD. It NEEDS ALL OF YOUOOUOU~~~

Well. I updated the streaming thing there. I have some of the lead guitar done. No progress with the actual lead section though.

Still needs: Bass, Main vocals, backup vocals, the solos, and some percussion programming.

I'm going to get It all setup with this laptop tonight. As far as I can tell everything is working gravy.

Then I can record it tomorrow, as well as like the 1000 other things on my list to record. I'm also going to try out SD2 :D

IT WORKED!

I only recorded basics sounds to test out my setup, but it appears to be working. Might be able to actually record tonight after work if my roommate isn't about. Or if I can just convince him to STFU long enough for me to record.

Reaper is battling my PC right now, shit is getting interesting.

I just basically need to wipe this entire computer if I want to use it for recording. I might do that tonight. I am pretty sure the old lady who used it before me just fucked it with spyware and shit.

Dev, what the fuss is?

Did you proper wipe the drive, or are you working around a previous OS install?

If option two, have you defragged the drive(s)?

It's defragging right now.

Working off a previous windows ... *shudders* Vista ... install. Former owner was an old lady who just downloaded whatever the fuck the internet told her to. We all know well that works ...

I keep getting bluescreens in reaper. If not that, really bad glitchyness for no reason whatsoever. It isn't a lack of memory or processing, it is just one track vocals. I have done those on worse computers. This leads me towards a fucked HDD. I am going to probably just wipe it tonight (have a bunch of samples I need to pull off of it first), install the Windows 7 bootleg I have and see how that works.

I have been using Vista for the last year or so. I don't really have any problem with it. My computer really doesn't have fastest cpu or anything either(core 2 duo 2.0ghz).

Actually, i am running on only 2GB of ram lately as well, and even that has not caused me any worries in Vista. :idk:

You may have a RAM problem, or you might get lucky and find that you just really, really, needed to defrag. :idk:

Either way, this is the beater laptop from work, that red gateway I posted a while back.

I really don't care what happens to it, it is definitely on it's last limb before dying. It is just going to hold me over until I get my new PCm which will most likely be a desktop. I am considering a laptop but they are just so damn expensive.

Aye, comparatively, the desktop is way up in the bang-for-buck scale.

I needed to go laptop because i needed a mobile recorder to go between my drum/guitar space in the basement and my everything else space upstairs.

But i could have done it a fair bit cheaper if i had just one place the computer needed to be.

One of my fears as well, since I plan on getting a storage shed for a studio. But I still need an interface after the PC. By that time, I probably will have a completely different plan. So maybe I should go laptop for the value of flexibility. I just need about $850 as opposed to $550.
