Reminds me of Mastodon, in a good way. :nods: I like the synth in there.

Synths are  , and that is a fine choice. Also, you should be able to access the OT forum now. :eyebrows: :snax:

Perhaps you could kill a transient with a hammer, and sample it? :plot:

The bass has some balls to it. :nods: I'm liking that quite a bit.

Something about the fatness of the lead tone made me suspect it was a semihollow. Neck pickup?

Actually it was the bridge.

The Talman, being a rather slim semi-hollow, is actually pretty ballsy sounding. I was also boosting it with the LPB-2 clone which seems to add a bit of the fatness.

I would in an instant, if i could just find one around here with a proper bindle. No bindle = just regular old boring homeless person. Only proper hobos have the best tone.

I saw a guy walk by a while ago with a shopping cart full of deposit cans and bottles. Maybe one-a them might have decent tone, what with all the glass and metal. :idk:

No sir, i am afraid that the rules are quite simple and quite inflexible: No Bindle, No Hobo.

That sounds fucking badass, Mr. Fanatic. Ballsy. Tight palm mutes are tight!

My one experience recording a Triple X was less-than-pleasant; I got a total "poor man's Dual Rec" vibe out of the thing, but that's what the guy insisted on using. This is really aggressive and defined. I do hear it still as the in-between point between a Rec and a 5150, but I have no issue with those amps. (And actually like the Rectifier for personal use, if only for Orange/Vintage) What are your settings and what impulse are you using?

Also, you are using a 335 for metal. This makes you a fucking champion. :D

God damn. You've all raised (are raising) the bar so high.

I can finally sit down and see if I can write something. So far all I know is there's an arpeggio I heard in a Maiden song that I want to use as my starting point.

Settings are Resonance on tight
Gain: 2 (beat the fuck out of the strings or it'll sound like a really tight Plexi)
High: Dimed
Mid: 4 or so
Low: 7 or so
OD-808: Drive 0 Tone: Dimed Level: Half

The impulse is 2 instances of s-preshigh via LeCab. One's high passed at about 150hz and low passed at about 8.75, the other one is only low passed at the same frequency.

Half the tightass palm mutes is the 335. These old ass Dirty Fingers pups have barely any low end, and what low end they have is uber clear and punchy.
