| Post subject: | Strange tuning system on old Tama snare |
This Tama snare from the late eighties/early nineties in our new rehearsal spot has some strange tuning system which I suppose never caught on... if you turn the tuners on the top head it seems to tighten the bottom, and it appears that there is no way to tighten the top. I think it might be tightening both, but mostly just the bottom. I don't know how to replace a head (it needs some replacing) and I don't know how to actually tune it, and it is pissing me off. If I knew the name of this I might be able to research a solution to this. |
