I like the Evans EQ3 or EMAD ones, though like all kick heads they can be pricy.

Remo Pinstripes can also make a good sound.

I tune my kick kind of goofy loose, so i won't advise on how you should do it, other than to say, like any other head replacement:

1. Turn all lugs by hand just until they start to make contact with the rim.
2. Push the center of the head with your hands to settle it well, and re-adjust the lugs to the same point.
3. Then tune in equal amounts, opposite lugs like you were changing a tire on a car, until it is close to where you want it.
4. Then push the center of the head as much as possible with your hands(or sit on it or whatever) to take some of the 'new head stretchiness' out of it.
5. Tune it the way you want it, and play it for a while. After a day or two of playing you will probably need to retune as the head continues to stretch and settle.

I don't think so, though I do intend to put a 350 V8 in there at some point and maybe a supercharger as well further down the road.
I'd probably leave the exterior fairly stock as well, complete fucking sleeper status.

I don't know, nigga.
You can get 350 V8s for much cheaper I would expect.
:idk:

Also, is the LS1 a direct fit or is some amount of modification required?

Any V8 in an S-10 is going to require a good amount of modification.

That said, the LS-1 will be easier, you won't have to change the fuel tank, the computers will plug into each other, and the LS series engines have smaller water pump pullies so you won't have to move the radiator forward as much. They'll both mount right up to the transmission, and you'll need the motor mounts from whatever the engine came from. :)

I know fuckall about cars. I haven't driven in like four years.

But I do know you need an Aquarian Superkick II. Barring that, EMAD.

Chris's other two suggestions are okay as well. :red: The Superkick II is my favorite of every kick head and responsible for lotsa good tones I've heard, played with and recorded. I turned my deathmetaller friend onto it and he swears by the thing now. :D
