Went with an Aquarian Super Kick II at Snaxie's suggestion.

I think that's kinda funny as I'm easily the worst drummer of anyone who recommended anything.

Still, I think you can't really go wrong with that one for aggressive playing. (Or any of the suggestions, for that matter.) I like the punch and power of it. I'm curious as to your thoughts on its tone and response after you've spent some time with it, and how it compares to whatever you had on there before.

You seemed to feel very strongly about it.


It was also the first thing I saw at GC and there were no Evans heads in stock (which is what I was originally gonna get).
But I am sure I will like the Aquarian, we'll see what I think when I can find a fucking drumkey.

It's hard to beat for slamming drumstuff. It has a certain attack to it I'm very fond of, and it's been an immediate improvement to several kick drums I've encountered over the years. You should buy one.
