Well hell, you can pick up one of the necessary phones if you don't have one for chump change.

If you want some shitty phone receivers I could start snagging the ones from shitted out phones at the hotel. It's usually the guts that get shot not the receiver, so all of them should be good. All I would ask for is one of the mics and cables

Dev, are your hotel phones like the ones in the pictures, or are they more modern style?

More modern in the 80's sense. I'd have to scrounge up some. I think the ones we had just got tossed, but we build up on them regularly. The phones are shitting out in a bunch of the rooms so it is only a matter of time before I have a decent stock of them.

Can you grab a pictar showing what type? If they are newer than the 70's era of design as in the above pictar, then they will probably have simple electret microphones innem.

The best possible choice are these proper ancient ones, because they have proper ancient technology carbon microphones in them, which give that lovely rotten mechanically restricted frequency range sweetness.

However, if one merely wishes to do some microphonating into a telemophone, i am sure that either could be bodged to go. The ancient ones would just sound more gnarlier.

I have at least one of those old phones. I would guess I can pick up a couple around here, I know some old folk....
