Post Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
How do you guys get over not wanting to sell a guitar? I really need the ~£200 I would get for my Pearl LP but I can't bring myself to sell it yet :red: I don't know why, I haven't played it for at least a month and its needed a new high E for longer. It's weird that I don't play it because it probably plays the best out of my 3 geetars.. maybe it's because it's the only one I fully paid for myself and I'd feel guilty about not playing the ones my parents helped me buy :red:

I've done that and it sucked. Much guilt. Call it latent Catholicism re: guilt?

It occurs to me the walls, molding, floor, doorknob and color scheme of my current bedroom are mostly exactly the same as the master bedroom at my previous Largehaus. Hell, the shape is even a weird polygon. (It's a bit smaller, but Miz Jen and I are only here until her lease is up- why I'm not bothering to mostly unpack- at which point we will have a more long-term establishment and have hand-picked our neighbors... this was a matter of some discussion) It's kinda weird a little.

Okay, the color here tends more toward blue than green. But still, it is somewhat spooky. I suppose I could have taken the frighteningly orange room, into the closet of which my clothes have begun to migrate, but I appropriated Miz Anastasia's former cave instead so we have a bit more privacy. Not that we're able to conclusively prove the other actually exists anyhow.

Yeah that's not what I'm selling, it's the one I paid for that I'm thinking of selling as it ever gets played despite being a great guitar

well on selling it, will you regret selling it later? Probably if it's a great playing guitar. Can you buy another one when you get the funds again or will it be hard to replace later (hard to find?) What do you really need the money for? Is it worth selling a great guitar for? I have kept a few guitar because they would be hard to replace if I decided I want them back. I've also sold some I regretted, that is much harder. There is a particular Strat I sold, that I shouldn't have and I'm not a Strat guy but I really regret selling this particular one. So that's my .02

That's the point. You can't sell your other guitars because they were semi-gifts. I would try to hold out in your situation. If the guitar plays way better then whats its worth you should never sell it.

Wise words :isay: It would be hard to find again as it's a 70s MIJ Pearl (the drum brand) all mahogany Les Paul which was apparently made in the same factories as the Tokai etc of that era.. I've only ever seen one other. It plays better than my gibson and only cost £250 which also touches on knope's point I suppose :red:

The money I need for car tax but I suppose I can delve a bit deeper into my overdraft til I next get paid :red:

That is a fucking nice house! Replace the fireplace with a big tv/home cinema/gaming setup. Or maybe put a big leather armchair by the fire so you can smoke/drink by it and feel awesome.

I think my 40" TV, PS3, 400 watt amp with two tower speakers and bookshelves will cover that fireplace up just fine. :D

And that fireplace can't be used, but the one in the study where my amps, books and armchair are going can!

Awesome house. We're getting ready to put ours on the market. All the cosmetics have been fixed up, and now we are in the long process of putting stuff into storage and throwing shit out. Lived here my whole life and there's 20+ years of crap to sort out.

Thanks. We are about 90% to having the house. We just need to sign the lease, which we already agreed upon. Then the awesome process of moving for the fourth time in four years.

This was built in the 50's, and would be considered more of a "country" house. It would probably sell between $250,000 to $300,000. The mini-mansion across the street is on the market for $1.2 million.

My split of the rent is $400. For two people.
