Funny story re: that- the real estate agent selling the house in which I currently reside is a photographer for whom I made the prints for his exhibitions for many years. I go over to pick up the headphone amp, and who lives downstairs from him but another photographer for whom I used to make prints for... and the two of them frequently exhibited together. Buffalo: it's not a small town, it's a big room.

Anyhow, yes. Victorinox! We haven't put it through it's proper paces- tonight was a writing session with Mr. Chris being in Cancun for the week, but my initial impressions are good. Very sturdy build quality, metal knobs. Rändy was quite impress'd and found it an upgrade from the sketchy old Samson he was using. The sum-to-mono feature is cool for live use as well. One input is his monitor mix, the other is the click. Hit MONO and Bam! Spice Weasel! We're giving him control of this stuff via the Roland sampler, which also serves now as the Oh Shit! button in case something goes wrong, and has random snippets of electronica Ken The and I made for breaks in the set where we switch instruments so there's little or no talking between songs, all professional-like. So even for smaller shows where there's no 'puter and lights, we have all our backing and click tracks and goodies and can at least play everything how God intended.

I'd like to give it a good test with proper listeningstuffs and a killer pair of 'phones. It seems a nice piece of kit. They're usually $130.

I was looking into getting one of those when I was in recording mode. PreSonus makes some quality stuffs.

Long Island pretty much seems like one big city/town. If you are a musician on LI no matter how spread out we are we all know each other. LI is pretty much a long strip mall with houses all around it. Yeah, we're a suburb of NYC, but isn't all of 'Murrika just a suburb of New York?

I think there's some shit in the middle and the bottom that isn't. I say sell it back to Mexico.

FUCKING POLLEN

i live... amongst many trees. The pines have decided to start having sex this week and are releasing clouds of pollen. My house is ungodly hot, so i left the windows open last night.

This book was by the window (i sit literally 20 inches from the window - everything has pollen on it, especially textured things like my headphones, computer case, mousepad, mouse, keyboard.... rage)

I am calling it a day on today. Eff this noise. I ordered a delicious delicious pizza full of cherry peppers and fresh mushrooms, poured myself a nice glass of Redemption on the rocks, and am retiring to my hole (and not impulse-buying a Korg Poly 800 ) so that in the unfortunate event I awaken within the next twelve hours, I can at least do the exact same thing all over again.

My day was not that bad. I sold the AD30VT for $80 locally.

It was to a middle-aged guy living in the picturesque suburbs. We had to wait for his wife to come home because she had the money In the meantime we jammed out Sultans of Swing I played rhythm on his Gibson LP Studio through the Vox, it sounded pretty nice but once again I was not in love with the LP's feel. I love the look of LPs but I just have not really played one that played how I like it. Maybe I just need the 25.5" scale.

But yeah, $80
