Re: What Are U Listening To Right Now: Home Surgery Instruct After getting into that newest Modest Mouse album, I really enjoyed the guitar bits so decided to listen to The Smiths a bit. I still don't like Morrisey much but the guitar and bass parts are really good. I downloaded the discography and don't really know where to start though, what's the best album?  I'm a bit overwhelmed by songs.

Re: What Are U Listening To Right Now: Home Surgery Instruct Re: The Smiths- agreed. It's not a big discography; they're all good. You will grow to appreciate Morrissey more over time. He can be hard to take at first. (IMO, more snark than wank, though it's not immediately apparent) Just pay attention to the songwriting and it will grow on you. Some of his solo stuff ain't bad, either, and can be a fair bit more rockinger than anything on any Smiths record. But yeah, there's only a handful of records (actual proper studio LPs at least); listen to them. They are good. I'd probably say Queen Is Dead is my favorite, if I had to pick?
