This one has a real good way of getting into my head and staying there.
And now this video has me thinking I might be in love with the Stevie Nicks of 1976.
But I'm not sure, my dog and I are super baked.

I have been talking about covering this and Train In Vain by The Clash to Devin all day.

For some years. I always thought it would work well being totally redone in the sort of way I would do it. My band has fooled around with The Chain but nothing ever came of it.

It's definitely a great tune, and the contrast of the dark sections ascending into these happy, poppy lifts works to a very dramatic effect.
I'd be interested in playing drums on the song if you wanted to commit some time to it.


I could hear crunchy hi-hat and snare dance-y beats with lots of variation.
Kind of like a Jimmy Chamberlain type thing or something you'd hear on a Silversun Pickups song.

He's perfectly sober as far as I can tell.
I just blew a nice pipe rip into his ears and he was very quiet for awhile.
It was great.

The chain is a great tune. perfect Lindsey solo as well, mostly one note, just one good note. Can't fault a guy for knowing how to make one note very useful. Also Stevie was quite the looker when she was all coked out. chicks either need to workout to keep thin, or just do a ton a coke.

Yeah, she's definitely a specific kind of cute though.
That big hair has a lot do with it (atleast for me) but otherwise she's very mouse-y (not at ALL a problem for me, as I like cute, mouse-y girls) and certainly isn't a "beauty" by traditional standards.
It's hair and charisma/commanding presence/X-FACTOR/bullshit.
But that last bit is the most important.
This is only reinforcing my wish to be born in the mid 50's so I could be this age through the early and late 70's..
Fuck.

Anyways.

As an aside;
I think the live version of Rhiannon is quite a bit better than the album version.
It's definitely the band making it a "live" song, it's a lot more rockin' and Nicks is in showstopper mode at the end of it.
Though, I think the big jam at the end gets a little stale..

I usually have my own music stuck in my head, which I "hear" so much that it gets to the point of me hating it
