My interview at starbucks went as bad as an interview can go. I suppose it's frowned upon to go completely blank when asked "so why do you want to work for us?" and you really have no good reason for wanting to work there other than needing money.

That question is and always has been complete bullshit.

Exactly. Unless you are recruiting henchmen or zealots, that is just a question to try to make the interviewer feel slightly better about the fact that the job in question has no useful purpose whatsoever. "We will hire you if you can adequately pretend that you don't know for a fact that this job is going to be dreary and mindnumbingly non-essential."

On the other hand, it *can* be a useful query when applied in the aforesaid recruitment of henchmen and zealots.

That said, when the purveyance of coffee is involved, i could probably figure out something decent to say, possibly even without lying too much.

The only questions should be "Can you tell the difference between hot things and cold things?" and "Can you tell the difference between an ounce of liquid and a gallon of liquid?"

"Do you know at least ten numbers?"

Exactly. Well I don't think I'll have got the jerb anyway, the interview was pretty awkward from that point onwards. Ah well. Dominos Pizza are hiring

these are all good ideas for future interviews.

It's pissing down with rain today so I'm spending my day sitting around on the internet We're predicted 15-25mm of rain today so the trails will be sloppy beyond belief.

Bizarre. The town just issued a boil water order. I guess one of their scheduled sample takings/testings showed e.coli, so the boil order will stand until they get two clean tests over the next day or two.

Ironically, boiled water tastes shitty, while the possibly e.coli carrying water tastes fine.

Surrounded by, trapped in, or full of? All three are different scenarios. #2 seems the most interesting, though #3 is likely tastier.



That's because e.coli, which is shitty in the literal sense, is delicious?

Technically all 3 at one point in time if you really think about it. First surrounded by, then trapped in, and finally full of... First time I make it from "scratch" too! Quite delicious...
