Well, I've had an interesting week. I had a massive panic attack, wound up in the hospital where I was fed sedatives and given the most cursory of examinations- not even a goddamn physical even after explaining my conditions and have been fobbed off on some social workers, and have a respiratory ailment that will not go the fuck away. And still managed to fit two rehearsals in there. Sick like a sonofabitch the past few days though. I just want to finish my damn record and see a real fucking doctor as I am a sickly thing lately.

Next weekend is gonna be fun, we're doing wizard fancy dress for my mates birthday on saturday. I just tried on my "luxury" wig and beard combo, it's fucking awesome Got a cape on its way as well.

So you really are going to put on your cape and wizard hat...

I've noticed it's been quiet on here. I've noticed you been absent on and off and generally that when you are not feeling well. It's so nice when they ignore physical ailments and go right for the sedative. "Just keep him quiet and ship him out!"

Yeah, I wound up somewhere totally classy not by my own choosing. Basically, a dingy cell I could rant about pretty hard. A medical professional friend told me explicitly: "If you ever wind up there, get out as soon as you can; they're as likely to kill you" and given the conditions I heeded her advice. They called my housemate twice to ensure I was in fact harmless and let me go without so much as a script for anything. I'm pretty sure that's where the county sends criminals to be ignored by the staff.

To be fair, I needed to be zoinked at that point 'cause I was in a world of shit physically, but, like, anything else might have been helpful?

If it's anything, I've had an amp pick up both the country station and the hip-hop station at the same time. That's interesting.

I like that you have both a Microkorg (who on here doesn't have one, have access to one, or have an equivalent?) and a separate vocoder.

I have heard about turning the D112 backwards, but have ne'er tried it. I like the things, though not everyone gets on with 'em.

I will miss the vocoder more though. I wasn't using either nearly enough anyhow, so i probably shouldn't have them.

I have no Microkorg. I do have a Pioneer reel-to-reel though. Never used it. Plan to some day.

I've also heard of turning it backwards, apparently you get more of an 'all around' kick drum sound instead of whatever part of the kick you would have pointed it at. Cam, you are going to embark upon the wonderful journey that is micing a drum kit.
