And it is something I have been sort of long overdue for? I don't know, it is not something that I am going to be quitting any time soon. I figure getting the protection of it as well as access to dispensaries with better prices, product and alternatives to smoking (oils, butters, tinctures, candies, baked goods, etc.) is something worth having. It is something I have avoided before purely because I was lazy about it, so I just said fuck it, I'll go do it.

Oh, and they sell a soda with 5 grams in it at a super close dispensary. A single motherfucking soda, 12 oz or whatever. 5 grams. FIVE MOTHERFUCKING GRAMS. They call it "The Scary One".

But yeah, most places do tend to frown on bring-your-own-booze, as they want you to buy theirs. Discretion in this case is the better part of valor. Even if it does generally mean sneaking off to the facilities for a swig or to a darkened corner to top off one's beverage.

Indeed, indeed, but common sense takes the backseat when you're tanked, and you ended up passing some whisky to an acquaintance who passes it to the vocalist of the band onstage and then security is on your ass.

In the purely hypothetical situation I got another band going with a little more stylistic diversity (Read: playing power metal and such in addition to my death metally things), which of these two songs should make the cut? They have rather similar bridge sections to the point that I don't think I could really get away with playing both of them. I'm not Jon Schaffer, I don't think I can get away with riff recycling to that extent.

I would say End Yourself. I like how it is put together, and it has IMO a stronger beginning.

I sense i couple of Rust In Peace-esque riffs in there, but it works. Also: crazy solo action. And a cool lead-in to the ending.

I like End Yourself more too.


I still consider myself a hobbyist at the whole audio engineering thing. My results feel inconsistent to me. Sometimes I think a mix I did sounds amazing, and other times I think it sounds like shit.
