Quite the interesting thread. One of the better ones we've had recently. Hmm I need to start giving out points for this one, hmm

*tallies*

*carries over the three, add 2*

Geoff - 3 internet points
Chris - 3 internet points
Cam - 2 points for redirection, gassing the flames, and shenanigans
Snaxie, TR, and Mike 1 point for contributions.

Well done gentlemen.

The heaviest thing I listen to is Green Day. Or is it Greenday?

You are too hip for points.

If you are feeling left out then I shall bring it to the proper authorities and they will allot a special gift for you. I too am not metal enough. :fag:

Obviously, they are the superior bass of choice for any heavy-metal player.

yes I see that statue is, but this intrigued me and I have not seen him play one. He usually just played a P. I love the P/J the mostest, but Phil did not ask me either :idk:

Secretly, he played PJs.

He had a phantom Jazz pickup in the bridge of his P basses, installed below the pickguard for extra sneakies.

He was afraid of being connected to Jazz in anyway.

Making stuff up is way more fun than knowing the truth.

Goddamn, that is the great BRAWN man that has ever graced this planet.
My favorite person.
Ever.

But yeah, he played a P mostly.
He played a Rickenbacher early on, it broke during the Nightlife-era and later on in his career he played some bass I don't recognize with a large humbucker right about where the pickup lies on a P-Bass.

Ah, thanks for the info!

That is a bit of information that I actually value!
Phil's live bass tone rocked shit with that Ibanez, IMO.
