:hypno: what what what???? Here I was assuming it was the fuel that got you going after a night a teh booooozes. It is still the staple of my diet.

Sangria was my choice last night. Back on the acoustic gig circuit, since it is a week night money maker. Working on tunes with my old acoustic pardner from a few years ago, we both decided we need more money and playing is the way to do it. We both like to drink wine while acousticing (again another proper verb)

I've always wished ginger beer were alcoholized.

Glorious.

Coffee with a scoop of vanilla protein shake powder. It's as delicious/lumpy as you might imagine.

Again. :huzzah:

I have decided that this is the acceptable manner in which i can have beer in the house and not feel inefficient/decadent about spending money on beer. $20 for 30, hard to beat. Plus having half the fridge filled with them provides, as my older sister suggested, somewhat of a feeling of a sense of security. You know, like, in a "worst case scenario, at least we have enough beer here" sort of angle. A fine and sanitary emergency water supply, as for instance in the fashion of a medieval peasant, that sort of thing.

Also, i find that unless i really drink it fast, i don't even get slightly lightheaded from the stuff. I suspect that though it says it is 4.74% ABV, it may be more like 2-3%. It feels to me basically nonalcoholic, and so i suspect that it might be in reality only just above that threshold where a thing can be called that officially/legally.

Which is fine by me, because i am only in this for the bread soda aspect of it, and unlike the proper low alcohol "beers", this one actually tastes like beer to me.

You can get tanked on the Canadian PBR. :huzzah:

I didn't like the PBR I had in Canada. Mind you, most of the beers I tried (even local ones) weren't that good, they all had a weird skunky taste.

I'm not drinking anything at the minute but after work I'll have a big cup of tea for the drive home to make the most of being able to have milk in it as a result of it being carb up weekend :red:

Home brewed beer

A Groupon came out a while back that included a homebrew starter kit. The store didn't foresee it selling as well as it did so they got WAY behind distributing, but I finally got it a couple of months ago and I made my first beer. I'd give it overall a C, but for being my first beer, a C is pretty damn good. This one is just a bare bones brew, taste a lot lighter then it looks. Its a little sweet because I got a little too creative with the hops and didn't get enough bitterness out of them to balance it out. Pic:

There is a special satisfaction in drinking beer you brewed yourself.
