no criticisms, of course I would love to hear more guitar and any bass, but sounds tight from what I can hear. Was everything sent to FOH or using amp volumes for mix?

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
When my dad was here, i managed to get a 1.5" sliver of smashed winebottle to stick pretty well into the tip of my left index finger. I removed it, but retained the suspicion that there might still be a bit of green glass wand'ring about in my hand, as that shit just didna not feel right, and its unpleasant sensations were somewhat increasingly interfering with the carryings on of most daily tasks.
Well, these suspicions were borne out today via the judicious application of a sewing needle as a bit of an ouchstabber/ghettosurgicalarchaeological weapon.
Kind of sucks because, i seem, roughly 80% of the time that finger violence is the dish of the day, to fuck up 1. A finger on my fretting hand, 2. In exactly the wrong place for whichever finger happens to get it, with regards to what part of the finger tip needs to come in pressure contact with the strings.
This week of 8-4 shifts is killing me, I'm not used to working normal hours/days struggling to keep my eyes open, moar coffee! It doesn't help that the weather is awesome so I've been biking every day after work.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
blargh, I hate fingertip injuries, much less one that has been nagging for a bit, on fretting hand always much worse though.
Gig on Fire Island on Saturday, gear and people on a ferry (a no car ferry) so needless to say the Bogner is not making that trip. I heard the guys loading the ferry dropped a drum in the water a few weeks ago. The musicians are not allowed to load, the guys working the ferry do the loading, so my best gear is not going. I will be bringing my Bugera V22 which is my favorite grab and go amp, also a much smaller pedalboard, my mexi tele, and only 1 keyboard. Also gig is outdoors in the sun. tor does not like: 1. Playing outdoors (airconditioning seems to have no effect here...) 2. the sun (most of us vampires/zombies do better without such device of heat/light) 3. having my instruments near a beach.

Points one, two and three: I concur. And not only do you have heat, sunlight and saltwater, your gear- most precious cargo- is being moved by longshoremen/sailors. No offense to the nautical professions, but this, as a musician, does not inspire confidence.

These days, i play pretty much exclusively though whale-based gear, so i actually prefer that my roadies come from the merchant marine sector.

LOL IRL this is hysterical, I think of longshormen/sailors as
where as this is probably more like hipster teens.
I'm thinking I need to wear a kilt.... What say you guys?

Kilts are almost surprisingly comfortable. Not everyone can work a proper tartan with confidence, but in general a kilt has some useful technology innit, particularly when one notes how many thousands of years they have existed. Plus, if you wear one proper Scottishly, you can most likely flash your junk at random folks with much more convenience than whatever your normal method might happen to be.

Needs skinny jeans. Otherwise, visually, not that different?
Yes to the kilt. A proper tartan kilt and sporran, or, like, a utilikilt, rivethead-style?

I have a kilt on the way, but the sporran might in get in way of my fiddle playing... I got a kilt with proper gothy zipper and hangy bits.....

But of course. Passes audio reasonably well, and if krill happens to be flying around the club for whatever reason, will also collect snax.

ZOOPLANKTON EVERYWHERE.
Speaking of maps, I was at The Snaxodrome yestereve for a bit and decided to troubleshoot the AC30. She'd been having some tube rattle issues; I thought it was the preamp tube for the top boost channel- it seemed most prominent plugged straight in there- but it turns out one of the wire tube retainer wossnames had been knocked out of place on the power tubes. Problem solved. Also, re-t00bed the preamp section with random things I had kicking around. Pentas in V1 and V2, the ECC82 tremolo driver is not currently installed (I don't use it anyway and the amp functions without it), V4 and 5 were some random Mesa 12AX7s I have about 20 of sitting in a drawer in the back, and a JJ in the PI. The Penta/JJ combination is a bit darker and more than a bit grittier than it was, just plugging straight in sans pedals at band volumes. I was running it pretty clean for a while; this is definitely more agitated. The AC30 seems to be upset about something and wants you to know. I will not argue with it.

My AC15 is also running tremololess. I sometimes wonder if I kerfuckered with some of the thingies inside of it if I could fix it, but ultimately I usually decide it's not worth it then look at fancy trem pedals.

I am kind of craving cheap american beer.
Is this summertime at work?
Or is it (somehow) an unfortunate side effect of accidentally consuming undercooked chicken?
Mmmmm. Undercooked chicken.
Or, err, rather...

Is it wrong that i buy my cheap american beer based solely on graphic design concerns?
No it is not.
I was aiming for this:
But the place didna haveany.
So i wound up with this instead:
And my decision was 100% based on typography.

Nothing wrong with that as decision-making factor. The Miller is close to properly old-fashioned looking; at least, the type is. And it's a better looking can than, say, Coors, to say nothing of Bud. And certainly better visually than any "light"/"lite" beer.
I like the '50s-ish blocky sans serif type on the first one, though. The giant red LAGER is a nice touch. Also "made on honor/sold on merit" is a fine slogan.
