I've just realized something sort of weird: I bug you guys with the goingons of my brain more than I tell my family or IRL friends. I know this is because of the anonymity provided by the interwebz, but man, probably not a healthy habit. Most everyone I know thinks I am an overall happy person as I can seem that way at first glance, because I know that nobody wants to hang out with some whiney asshole, I sure know I wouldn't. Kind of an odd "Dear Diary" outlet this place provides. Well, minus the privacy. Though I know half or so of you understand, as you are a similar flavor of batshit, or atleast I think.

Anyways, I think it's best that I maybe never come back to Alaska again. Though, I am sure I will.

I am currently reading about railway track, the construction and maintenance thereof. Why, I have no idea. Thank you, wikipedia, for broadening the scope of my useless knowledge.

Fuck, I am getting pretty decent at speaking spanish. When I get home I'm gonna Rosetta Stone that shit up, would be superlegit to be bilingual. Better job opportunities and good brain exercise. Also, makes me look smart and I can harass people in another language, which is clearly goodtimes.

As long as you can say cabrón, pendejo, puta, maricón, "¿Dos cervezas por favor? and ¿Dónde está el baño?, you're good.

I've also got "Suck my dick", "Get the fuck out of here" and "I'm gonna fuck you up" under my belt. Plus, single words and a few other phrases that are intended to offend. Mostly though, I am decent with basic sentence structure and jobsite oriented sentences. Considering I have learned it all by word of mouth I'd say I'm doing real well, my ability to memorize words seems to impress mi Mexicano amigos and mi padre.

And motherfuck, I love the Beach Boys. Also, I am determined to keep my head on straight. I shall be home soon, no need to be a such sadlittlebitch. Mass goodfeelings shall be headed my way soon.

It's really not a bad way to learn a language, when it comes down to it. You're picking it up through regular exposure and in a practical setting. Something to be said for being able to speak conversationally and idiomatically, y'know? You won't sound like a tourist or someone trotting out their rusty high school Spanish (likely with an American accent). Though you will sound like a Mexican construction worker. (Which, truth be told, is probably not a bad thing if you're, y'know, speaking with actual Mexicans.)

I actually have really good pronunciation, luckily. I can roll arrrrs like a motherfucker and have a good grasp of how to replicate atypical sounds that just don't really register to other white folks. My ears are quite keen in the sense of their ability to pick out certain noises, like I imagine all of ours do. They have received proper training what with all the music listening and shit. Though, they are kinda busted when it comes to hearing quiet stuff. I'd almost like to say that practicing death metal vocals and gaining an ability to decipher words within them might help me here. But, that may be pure bullshit. AND. Being an eighth Mexican might not hurt.

As a sidenote:
It is kind of gross how much I enjoy a few Hall and Oates songs.

Alsoalso: I am not sure if writing a punksong whose lyrics are solely based upon M*A*S*H* is the greatest or worst thing I have ever thought to do.

Hall And Oates has ties to the br00tz, you know. Neil Kernon was their producer. He did Cannibal Corpse, Nile and a whole bunch of other brutile stuff. (Also, Darryl Hall sang on Robert Fripp's Exposure, which is an interesting record.)

But yeah, being able to cop the accent is big. Odderwise yu sound laak for'ner. The Devil being in the details and all. And remember: Al Swearengen in Deadwood is played by a British dude.

Yarr, definitely had worse ideas. And it is my most favorite of all television shows and has some amount of odd pop culture relevance. Also, lots of neat things to pull from it. Death, depression, alcoholism and mackin' on fineass nurses being the most obvious. Which are all of course, superb topics.

Had a not very dramatic fall off my bike today, but I landed on the keys in my pocket and gave myself the worst dead leg ever. Still hurts 2 hours later, I can't walk properly and there's a lump forming On the plus side, I ordered my bass and it should be here Thursday
